Potsticker Soup – Great Cooking Tips
I can see how this would be a good recipe for a quick dinner for a couple people or for the classroom. Incorporating the background of the soup, like country of origin and where they came from, this could greatly benefit the class especially when each recipe can be from different countries connecting this to a social studies unit and food studies.
First, I chopped the carrots and green onions, then minced the garlic and grated the ginger.

Second, I cooked the garlic and ginger in oil until fragrant then the broth went in followed by the carrot until fork tender.

Third, I added the frozen dumplings. To make this in a classroom the dumpling can be made before hand taught by someone with experience or through a youtube video on folding methods.

Fourth, I added the soy sauce and the sesame oil plus the green onions as a garnish.

This recipe was really easy and I felt I could have done more regarding technique. To further that I could draw on past recipes and use that knowledge to better the current food being made. I already knew that if dumplings stay in soup for a long period of time they will start to decompose, but I relearned it when making this and letting it sit for a while.
