Weekly Reflection #5

On this day was the mini presentations we all prepared.

Each group had many great ideas for their POD projects and I look forward to all the full presentations. Each had a great plan and direction for resources and subject matter. I felt for my group presentation we went in thinking it was a more formal presentation close to what our final project would look like, so when it was our time to present I had to summarize and explain the key details of the information I had gathered. To further my exploration of my topic, I will continue to develop my part and stance on the subject area. Additionally, I will look into some of the other topics talked about from the other group so I can be informed, so that when going into the final presentation I can reference my past knowledge and gain new information.

This project is giving this class a great stepping stone into what we as teachers should look out for when internet access and safety becomes a critical concern. As well for the teachers safety, when the educator knows how to keep themselves safe they are very capable of knowing how to keep their class safe on the internet and how to inform the class of what they can do to keep themselves safe. Going into higher grades technology is a more prominent assistant in education so adapting teaching and learning to ensure security of education is more and more important. The tools shared with the research each project is giving is very accommodating for our future careers.
